The heat treatment in the forging of the wheel forging by the forging plant includes annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering.

The first is annealing: annealing is to heat the wheel forgings to an appropriate temperature, adopt different holding time according to the material and the size of the workpiece, and then perform slow cooling. The purpose is to make the internal structure of the metal reach or approach equilibrium, and obtain good process performance and performance , Or prepare for further hardening.

The purpose of annealing is to improve or eliminate various structural defects and residual stress caused by steel during casting, forging, rolling and welding, and prevent workpiece deformation and cracking. Soften the workpiece for cutting. Refine the grains and improve the structure to improve the mechanical properties of the workpiece. Prepare the structure for final heat treatment (quenching, tempering).

Next is normalizing: normalizing is to heat the wheel forgings to a suitable temperature and then cool them in the air. The effect of normalizing is similar to that of annealing, but the resulting structure is finer. It is often used to improve the cutting performance of the material. Less demanding parts are used as final heat treatment.
